Wayne Peterson, Pulaski Tennessee
Owner/Driver has over 40 years experience in stock car racing, much of this time while serving in Active duty in U.S. military. Wayne teamed up with Gerald Smith in 1973 for super speedway races but continued to run his own short track team until 1983. From 1978 till 1983 he was owner/crew chief for his son's, Michael Peterson, short track program. In the early and mid1970's Wayne worked as crew chief for the Frank Warren Winston Cup team as military service allowed.
Wayne has worked with several other Winston Cup teams through the years, which include Petty Enterprises, Junior Johnson, Hutcherson-Pagan, Marty Robins and Bobby Allison. In 1982 he worked for the Winston Cup team Digard Racing and Robert Yates with driver Ricky Rudd. After buying his own Winston Cup car from the Digard team in 1982, he entered a few Cup races in 1982, and began running in the ARCA Series with Gerald. He often combined teams with James Hylton thru the late 1990's creating a second team for special events in the Winston Cup Series. Wayne has been running the ARCA Series since 1982 and the full ARCA schedule since 1998.

Tim has 114 starts in ARCA REMAX Series with his best finished of 11th at Toledo OH in 2001 and a season best finish of 14th in ARCA Series drivers points in 2001 and continues to drive in the ARCA REMAX Series with Peterson Motorsports. Owns & operates Star Wheel Skate Center in Fayetteville, Tn.
Gerald Smith, Sardis City, Alabama
Crew Chief has 40 years in stock car racing. He worked for over 30 years in a steel plant in Gadsden, Alabama. From the mid 1960's through the 1970's, he was the owner/builder/ crew chief for his brother, Randy Smith's short track program. Together they ran and won at various tracks in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. In 1969 they won the Huntsville, Alabama track championship. In 1982 he worked for the Winston Cup team Digard Racing and Robert Yates with driver Ricky Rudd. Gerald has worked as crew chief and partner with Wayne for 30 years in NASCAR?s Winston Cup Series, Busch series, Modified Series and ARCA REMAX Series.
Sarah Peterson, Pulaski Tennessee
Team Mom/Scorer has 40 years in stock car racing. She is a retired schoolteacher. As Wayne's wife she has been active in all of his racing efforts. She has been a scorer for this team and other NASCAR Winston Cup teams for hundreds of times over the years. She even drove in some special events in the 1970's.
Michael Peterson, Birminghan, Alabama
Team Engineer (BSEE)/GasMan has over 35 years in stock car racing. As Wayne's son he has been active in all of his racing efforts. Drove short track race cars from 1978 through 1988 in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. He helps keep the teams website updated and coordinates sponsorship development for the team.

Randy Smith, Sardis City, Alabama
Mechanic 40 years in stock car racing. He works full time as the crew chief for a local short track team. He drove & won at various short tracks in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida in the 60's 70's and 80's. He won the Huntsville Alabama track championship in 1969 and was a Peterson Motorsports team driver in the NASCAR Dash Series and ARCA REMAX Series in the late 70's and 80's.
